See how Olympic champ Missy Franklin learned to swim on solid ground.
“I remember the first time walking in here with my friends and I felt like I belonged. I felt like I had come home. I found total peace. I have never felt anything like that before. Religion wasn’t a huge part of my childhood growing up, but faith isn’t something that you’re born with; it’s something that you find.
“I had talent and drive and great coaches, but God gives me more. He gives me strength and confidence, and most importantly He keeps me grounded because I know that everything I’ve accomplished is because of Him. God is always there for me. I talk with Him before, during and after practices and competitions.
“I don’t have to be in that same chapel to feel that peace. I found my faith there. Now I take it with me into every part of my life.”
